I am really excited to be the new IRF at Malcolm X! My background is in Special Education teaching, and before that I taught kindergarten in Germany. When I'm not teaching, I love traveling to places near and far, and exploring everything San Francisco has to offer.

I am a veteran MXA teacher for 29 years, who is dedicated to educating all students, especially in literacy. I love life, my family, and teaching (my passion). My faith gives me hope and strength to be the best person I can be. I love Lake Tahoe, jet skiing, and I am a "huge" 49er faithful!!!

I am excited to be the new full time Teacher Librarian at Malcolm X Academy! I have a background teaching Art and Nature in the neighborhood through several programs including the Bayview Opera House Children's Mural Program, and Kids in Parks at Gloria R. Davis Middle School. I am starting my third year as a Teacher Librarian and I am excited to work with the MXA community to develop an exciting library program.

I am so excited to start my 8th year in the Malcolm X Community! I am a reader, hiker, traveler, and a lover of laughter. I have been around the world two times and I can't wait to see more of the world!

I was born and raised in Chicago until the age of 12. I traveled to San Francisco with my four younger brothers and sisters on a Greyhound bus; it took 2 days and 3 nights. In my family there are 10 of us: 6 boys and 4 girls. I have 4 daughters, 5 granddaughters, and 1 grandson. I love shopping, going to church, spending quality time with my family, and spending time with all of the kids and staff at MXA. I starting working for SFUSD in 1991 and I haven't stopped!
